These
notes do not show all of the required steps for installation and for
compilation. Rather, they highlight some of the
critical
steps that you should pay attention to. The illustrations
assume
that you have existing source code and header files and that you have
organized that code into logical locations (directories). It
is
also essential that you have located resource files into locations
(directories) that can be referenced in the source code or easily found
by the application executables.
