Project Requirements

These requirements are subject to revision

Game Requirements

• The game must make use of SFML libraries
• The game must include reading the keyboard
• The game must include sensing a mouse or a game controller (joystick) or both
• The game must include some sound
• The game must include some art work
• There must be some randomness to the game.
• There should be (a) back door(s) for testing/demonstration purposes
• Some help or introduction should be included in the game
• Any "3rd party" code must be documented and sourced.
• The instructor must be able to build and run your code.

Program Requirements

• A multiple file application

• Multiple classes

• Inheritance and polymorphism (multiple inheritance is good)

• A library to be built and linked in

• At least one namespace

• Some use of exception handling

• Overloaded insertion operators

• At least 2 STL containers

• At least 6 C++11/14/17/20 different features (to be documented by the Group Lead)

• Group Style Guidelines (to be documented by the Group Lead)

Game Demonstration

• The lead(s) will conduct the demonstration, but the instructor may interrupt with questions.  Group members must also participate in the demonstration/answering questions.  The lead is encouraged to delegate.
• All group members must be present at the demonstration..
• The game will be demonstrated - this is where the backdoor(s) might come in handy.
• Some code will be displayed, so that questions can be asked and answered.
• Completion of requirements will be demonstrated.
