CodeLab exercises

CodeLab is used for exercises.
In CIS 22A students are REQUIRED to do the exercises, and they are part of the grade.
In CIS 41A students are REQUIRED to do the exercises, and they are part of the grade.

Set up CodeLab account

For accessing CodeLab, make sure you use the same email address that you used when you registered at Deanza.

Do NOT buy CodeLab - It is free for De Anza students.
(De Anza has paid for a site license for all CIS students taking classes that use CodeLab.)

You will need to follow the registration-enrollment procedure that begins here: Register for CodeLab
(fill out forms, follow directions)

At some point you will need to enter the SECTION ACCESS CODE for your section that you copied from Canvas.

You can continue from setting up your CodeLab account, or return to one of the web sites later and login.
To continue from setting up your account:
Click on GO LOGIN
Note that the area to type your solution is BELOW the SUBMIT button.
There are two or more scroll bars. You may need to scroll up and down in the CodeLab WORK AREA scroll bar.
You may also need to scroll up and down in your window scroll bar.

Students are graded on the number of exercises you complete. It does not affect your grade if you submit wrong solutions, provided you then submit a correct solution.
You turn in late correct exercises, but before the ending time on Friday of the last week of the term. Late assignments may receive a somewhat lower grade.
You get no credit for exercises which are not completed correctly.
