Install Wing IDE

Note, names you may see for the Wing IDE and its corperate owners:

1. Go to this web site: wingware downloads
2. Select: Get Personal
3. From the Wing Python IDE Personal web page:
   • Select - Quickstart: HTML
   • This takes you to https://wingware/howtos/quickstart
   • Read some now and come back here when you need to
4. Again, from the Wing Python IDE Personal web page:
   • Select - Other OSes: Windows OR MacOS
   • Select - Download Wing Personal: Windows Installer OR MacOS Installer
   • • Save file
     • Your Downloads directory should now contain an exe file for the current release of the Wing IDE
5. Execute this wing-personal-(current release number).exe file
   • "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" Answer: yes
   • Accept license agreement and then click next
   • Do not change the default location in "Select destination location" click: next
   • In "Read to install" click Install
6. Wait for it to install
   • in"Completing the Wing Personal (release number) Setup Wizard" click Finish
7. Find wing-personal-(release number) app - open
   • Accept license agreement and then click accept
   • Wing starts, with a link to the Tutorial
   • You are now ready to use Wing
