Final Project

Now you are ready to build your final project.
Follow the link on the left to read final project requirements, request your final project topic, and then build your final project pages.

You have built your final project.
Upload your page to voyager, just as you did for lab 2.
Unlike other assignments, the final project may NOT be corrected after it is submitted.
Be sure yout final project is complete and correct before submitting it.
Then, log in to Catalyst and submit the final project. The submission should provide the following information:

  • It should say that you have completed the final project.

Frames

Frames is an old technology, which is being phased out. You might encounter the use of frames. The old lesson on frames, which was previously part of this course, is given in the links to the left. This is optional material.

Reading options

Reading assignments are in HTML, A Beginner's Guide, by Wendy Willard.

There are no required reading assignments.

You may wish to look at a little of the material in chapter 12.
I suggest you limit your page layout technique to a simple table, with no styles used for the layout.
Do not use a border. Do not use thead, tbody, and tfoot.
Keep it simple.
The use of styles for layout can easily cause some problems, and should be used with great care.

You may look at Chapter 10, Employing Frames. This is old technology, which is being phased out.
Chapters 7, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 are interesting, but outside the scope of this course.
