You are required to complete the online orientation for this class. From the De Anza Distance Learning main page, follow the links to the Online Orientation page and select the CIS002 orientation. http://distance.deanza.fhda.edu/

We will be using the ETUDES course management system for communication, discussions, lectures, homework assignments, quizzes and grade reporting. It is important that you check into ETUDES at least 2-3 times each week.

Getting started

Read the Syllabus
Complete the Distance Learning Online Orientation
Access ETUDES and set up your personal password (available on the first day of the Quarter)
The textbook is A Gift of Fire: Social, Legal and Ethical Issues for Computers and the Internet by Sara Baase. Read the first chapter.
Complete the assignments listed in ETUDES for Lesson 1. Introduction - Unwrapping the Gift
