Firefox toolbar

There is a Web developer toolbar for Firefox.
Web Developer is an Add-on Recommended by Firefox.
It is used to develop JavaScript, and for other development tasks.
You may wish to install it at home.
Installation instructions:

Go to:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/central/
Select - add-ons (near the bottom of the page)
Select - Recommended Add-ons
Select - Web Developer by Chris Pederick
Select - Install now (173 KB)

I got - Version 1.1.3, released on Jan 31, 2007
You may get a more recent version

Restart to complete the installation.

You may wish to select - View - Toolbars, and
unselect the Web Developer Toolbar.
You can select the Web Developer Toolbar when you need it for JavaScript,
and keep it hidden for most use of Firefox.

Using the toolbar

There are many things you can do with the toolbar.
I know a few of them.

If the toolbar is not on the screen
Select - view
Select - toolbars
Check - Web Developer Toolbar

In the toolbar
Select - tools
Select - Error console
In the Error console you can
Click - X Clear to clear the window
Reload your page or do something in your page
Look at the Error console window again, to see any error messages

In the toolbar
Select - information
Select - View JavaScript
