Class communications - Winter 2009
Types of communication:
- Class discussion list server
- Individual requests to the instructor
Communication discussions:
-
Send all discussion of the work in the class to the class list server.
For example, you might ask:
What are the questions on the exam? OR How do you make the color of a border red?
- All e-mail to the list server must be sent from your e-mail address which you used to join the list server.
-
Send all discussion of the work in the class to the class list server:
javascript-winter-2008@listserv.fhda.edu
-
All students should send answers to the questions on the list server.
Usually the instructor will provide an answer, but often this is later than when students have already answered the question.
Besides, the student discussions and answers are usually better than just an answer from the instructor.
Communication to the instructor:
-
Send all individual requests to the instructor.
For example, you might say:
Please grade my lab 4. OR I need to reschedule my exam date, because I will be out of town on business.
- In order to be sure the instructor answers your mail in a timely manner, the subject should begin with:
CIS 89C JavaScript
-
Send all requests for lab grading, or other instructor action, to the instructor:
