Deleting Partitions and Volumes
- You can delete partitions and volumes using the Disk Management MMC console or the DiskPart command-line utility. This task requires an Administrator-equivalent user account.
- Deleting a volume or partition will result in the loss of the data it contains. Extended partitions cannot be deleted unless all of the logical partitions they contain are deleted first.
