User Accounts
When you install Windows 7, several user accounts are created automatically. You can then create new user accounts.
A user account is required for individuals to log on to Windows 7 and use resources on the computer. A user account has attributes that describe the user and control access.
On Windows 7 computers, you can create local user accounts. If your network has a Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, or Windows Server 2000 domain controller, your network can have domain user accounts as well.
