Internal Disk
- Typical internal disk interface types include IDE, SATA, and SCSI.
- Nonremovable fixed disks are attached to these internal interfaces and provide a suitable location to store operating system files required to start the computer.
- The firmware built in to the computer is designed to recognize supported internal disk storage and boot from at least one of the installed internal disk devices.
