VHD Boot

  • VHD Boot is a new feature in Windows 7 that allows the operating system to be installed to and booted from a virtual hard disk (VHD) file instead of a disk partition.
  • VHD may be useful for power users in large enterprises with a virtualized desktop environment.
  • VHD boot can also be used to simplify dual booting.
